These unique wooden boxes completely hand crafted, created out of birch bark are
simpley woven, very delicate and beautiful. THey have been longed believed to have healthy
and cleansing properties and are antibacterial. Touching this box feels soft and leather
like.
These simpley weaved containers covered with a very thin layer of paraffin wax can be used
for keeping tea, grains, and herbs.
These hand crafted Birch Boxes are resilient yet flexible, and holds its shape
exceptionally well. Birch bark as a medium has properties in between paper and wood. Like
paper, the bark can be made into sheets, and bent into flexible shapes. But like wood, the
bark is durable and waterproof. It can be washed in running water and dryed with a simple
cloth, so it is very easy to maintain and care for.
These unique boxes are made entirely out of Birch Bark, except for the lid, which is made
with wood and birchbark inserts.
The birch bark used in these boxes are collected only during a brief interval in June which
makes them one of a kind and certainly a collectible. At this time we do not know when we
